In one-with-one spiritual direction, sessions typically last one hour, and are normally scheduled once a month. The intent of each session is to explore the directees' experience of God in daily life.

Sessions often begin with a short reading from Scripture or prayer, followed by a brief time of silence. This allows us to settle into the sacred space of openness before God and into the freedom to be our true selves.

In spiritual direction, the director is the honored guest, invited into the relationship between the directee and God. The director listens in on this ongoing conversation and assists the directee in becoming more attentive to God's presence and activity in his or her life.
